Dortmund, the city with a love for black and yellow

Dortmund is the largest city in the Ruhr area. It is known for the Signal Iduna Park (formerly Westfalenstadion), the home of Borussia Dortmund. Dortmund is incredibly colorful and, above all, characterized by its contrasts.

While coal and steel were once the image of the city, a flourishing cultural region has emerged over the past few decades. These include industrial monuments, green parks and great museums.

The imposing sights of Dortmund make every city tour the absolute highlight of every trip and, above all, the many scenes of history make every visit an experience.

Sightseeing

The largest city in the Ruhr area has a lot to offer, because the many sightseeing opportunities delight old and young and make the city so fascinating. From the Florian Tower to the Reinoldikirche, to the Zeche Zollern and the world-famous Dortmunder U - there is something for everyone here. The Zeche Zollern is not only an impressive industrial monument, the architecture is also remarkable.

Highlights are the Hall of Fame, the 3D cinema and everything about winning the 2014 World Cup.

DASA is an institution of the Dortmund Federal Agency for Occupational Safety and Health. This is the largest exhibition on the world of work in Germany.

The Dortmund Konzerthaus can be found in the center of the city and opened its doors in 2002. With this renunciation of color and decorative elements, the focus in the Dortmund Concert Hall is to be directed to the listening experience.
