Fashion in Milan

Versace, Dolce & Gabbana and Co. - those who are interested in fashion cannot avoid visiting Milan. The Italian city is a fashion hotspot, because the world's most famous designers started out in Milan and are loyal to the city to this day.

The city has devoted an entire quarter to fashion: the Quadrilatero della Moda, the center of which is Via Monte Napoleone. The Italian 5th Avenue has it all: Nowhere else do the hearts of fashion enthu-siasts beat as high as here, because here noble boutiques and studios are lined up next to each other.

Art and culture

Milan is not only a hotspot and famous travel destination for those interested in fashion. Milan scores with a culture steeped in history and is home to architectural masterpieces and the world-famous painting by Leonardo Da Vinci, "The Last Supper".

In any case, the city's landmark is the Milan Cathedral, which is one of the world's largest churches. The construction of the cathedral took almost 600 years, it was built in the Gothic style. "The Last Supper" can be admired about half an hour away in the monastery next to the church of Santa Maria delle Grazie, because this adorns the dining room and is one of the most valuable jewels of the Renais-sance.

Castles and museums

Those interested in history and culture should pay a visit to Castello Sforzseco. In addition to a library, the castle also houses an art exhibition with some works by Da Vinci and Michelangelo, which you should definitely see when visiting Milan.

Another place of particular interest is the royal palace, which was once the home of Napoleon Bona-parte. As an important cultural asset of Milan, the city palace regularly shows exhibitions of famous masterpieces, as exhibits by Monet, Van Gogh and Co. have been guests here.
